Abstract
In a world with a growing and aging population, medical imaging is a rapidly expanding application spanning a wide range of modalities and technologies. The talk will introduce imaging technologies and their sensors. Based on Siemens Healthineers’ latest Alpha-class photon-counting computed tomography scanners, challenges and solutions for sensor development will be presented. Furthermore, opportunities for transfer into other fields will be highlighted.
