Abstract

A highly sensitive and selective hydrogen gas sensor operating at room temperature was developed using palladium decorated mesoporous titanium dioxide nanospheres. The sensor was fabricated via a combination of solvothermal and chemical reduction methods to enhance surface area and improve gas surface interactions. The sensor exhibited a high response of 504% with a fast response (35 s) toward 10⁰⁰ ppm hydrogen at room temperature. In addition, the sensor demonstrated a wide detection range (50-10,000 ppm), with linearity (R 2 :0.9912) at low concentrations.
