Abstract

SnO 2 /MWCNTs-based ethanol sensor was fabricated using RF magnetron sputtering and e-beam deposition techniques. The linear dependence of the sensor response on ethanol concentration enabled the determination of its concentration in the range of 1-10⁰ ppm, with response and recovery times of 17 and 26 s, respectively. The sensor demonstrated ultra-high selectivity for ethanol vapor relative to acetone, propylene glycol, water, ammonia vapor, methane, and carbon dioxide.
