Abstract
For an enhanced performance and reliability of complex technical systems DLR carried out a research project and built-up five demonstrators. One demonstrator covers the topic of icing and de-icing of rotary wing aircraft under realistic environmental conditions. This paper describes the icing facility, the test stand with its instrumentation, the new rotor system, the wired and wireless remote controls and shows an overview of the acquired data.
