Abstract
A sensor based on guided acoustic waves (GAW) to enable simultaneous detection of fill levels and phase boundaries in heterogeneous media is presented. By exciting longitudinal, flexural, and torsional modes in a polymer based cylindrical waveguide, level measurement, interface detection, and temperature compensation are achieved within a single system. The integration of multiple modes into one sensor reduces system complexity and cost while offering robust performance for industrial applications.
