Abstract

This research is to develop ultrasound vibro-elastography (UVE), Nakagami imaging and power doppler intensity (PDI) image for assessing choroidal nevus and melanoma lesions of human eyes. Significant differences between the ratios of shear wave speed (SWS) between the nevus and melanoma lesions are obtained. Significant differences in contrast to noise ratio of Nakagami-m map are found between the nevus and melanoma lesions. The PDI within the nevus is significantly lower than that of melanoma which corresponds to lower blood volume.
