Abstract

A positive Corona Discharge-Ion Mobility Spectrometer (CD-IMS) system was developed for the detection of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by means of nitrogen oxides (NO+) generation. High concentration of NO+ formation was determined in a N2/O2 mix used as a gas carrier. Changes in the signal of NO+ were used as indicators of the presence of organic compounds.
