Abstract

Metallophthalocyanine of Ni was synthesized by chemical reaction from phthalic unhydride, urea and Nickel Chloride by using Ammonium Molybdate as a catalyst. The sample preparation was done by using press technique, in the form of pellets. The material was characterized by XRD, FTIR, UV visible and TGA techniques. The samples were checked with different concentrations of NO2 gas in presence of air. The sensitivity of these samples was checked by monitoring electric resistance of the samples with the help of electrometer. It is observed that electrical conductance of samples increases with NO2 concentrations. Selectivity of the samples was checked with different gases.
